A cylinder-less automatic fire suppression system is a compact, self-contained fire protection solution that does not rely on traditional pressurized cylinders or external power. It uses a heat-sensitive polymer tube filled with a clean fire-extinguishing agent, which acts as both the fire detector and the storage medium. When a fire starts and the temperature at any point along the tube reaches a critical level, the tube ruptures at the hottest spot and releases the extinguishing agent directly onto the source of the fire. This targeted discharge allows the fire to be suppressed quickly and effectively in its early stage. Cylinder-less systems are lightweight, easy to install, require minimal maintenance, and are especially suitable for small or enclosed areas such as electrical panels, engine compartments, control cabinets, and equipment enclosures, where fast, automatic fire protection is essential.
