The FM-200 Fire Suppression System is a fast-acting, clean-agent fire protection system designed to extinguish fires without damaging sensitive equipment or leaving residue behind. It uses heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea), a colorless and electrically non-conductive gas that suppresses fire primarily by absorbing heat and interrupting the combustion process. The system is commonly installed in environments where water-based suppression systems could cause significant damage, such as data centers, server rooms, telecommunication facilities, control rooms, museums, medical laboratories, and electrical equipment rooms. When a fire is detected through smoke or heat detectors, the FM-200 agent is automatically released through a network of nozzles, rapidly flooding the protected area within approximately 10 seconds to extinguish the fire at its early stage. Because the agent evaporates completely after discharge, it leaves no residue and minimizes downtime and cleanup costs. The system is safe for occupied spaces when designed according to international safety standards and is widely recognized for its reliability, environmental acceptability, and effectiveness in protecting high-value assets and critical operations.
