FK 5-1-12 fire suppression, commonly known by the trade name Novec™ 1230, is a clean agent fire suppression system designed to protect sensitive and high-value assets without leaving residue or causing damage. It suppresses fire by absorbing heat and interrupting the combustion process at the molecular level, making it effective against Class A, B, and C fires. FK 5-1-12 is electrically non-conductive, safe for use in occupied spaces when properly designed, and environmentally friendly with zero ozone depletion potential and a very short atmospheric lifetime.
