FIREPRO AEROSOL TECHNOLOGY

FirePro Aerosol Technology is an advanced fire suppression solution that uses a condensed aerosol medium to extinguish flames by chemically interrupting the combustion process rather than by cooling the fire or depleting oxygen like traditional systems. At the heart of the technology is a patented solid compound called FPC (FirePro Compound), which is mainly based on environmentally friendly potassium salts and engineered through years of research and development. Upon activation — either automatically via a fire detection system or manually — the FPC compound undergoes a rapid transformation from a solid into a highly efficient condensed aerosol, consisting chiefly of fine potassium carbonate (K₂CO₃) particles suspended in inert gases such as nitrogen (N₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂) and water vapor (H₂O). The generated aerosol is propelled throughout the protected space by the momentum from this transformation, enabling even and fast distribution without increasing the pressure in the enclosure and without requiring complex pressurized piping networks. When the aerosol reaches the fire, the potassium-based particles disrupt the chemical chain reactions that sustain combustion on a molecular level by binding with flame free radicals (like OH) to form more stable compounds, effectively stopping the fire while maintaining normal oxygen levels in the environment. FirePro systems are suitable for a wide range of applications and certified for multiple fire classes (A, B, C, and in some standards F), with a long certified operational life (typically around 15 years) and minimal maintenance needs. They are widely used in industries from electrical equipment protection to battery enclosures and critical infrastructure, offering a cleaner, eco-friendly alternative to halon and other conventional fire suppression agents with zero ozone depletion and zero global warming potential.
