An 'Air Sampling Detection (ASD) system' is a highly sensitive fire detection system that continuously draws air from a protected area through a network of small sampling pipes and analyses it for the presence of smoke particles. Unlike conventional smoke detectors, an ASD system can detect very low concentrations of smoke at the earliest stage of a fire, allowing for faster response and reducing the risk of fire damage. The sampled air is transported to a central detection unit equipped with advanced laser or optical sensors that monitor changes in air quality. ASD systems are widely used in environments where early fire detection is critical, such as data centres, telecommunication facilities, clean rooms, museums, hospitals, warehouses, and electrical control rooms.
