An Inert Gas Fire Suppression System is a clean agent fire suppression solution that extinguishes fires by displacing oxygen in the protected area to a level that will not support combustion, while remaining safe for human occupancy. It uses natural gases such as nitrogen, argon, or a combination of both (e.g., IG-55, IG-541, IG-100). Key Features: Eco-Friendly: No ozone depletion potential or global warming impact. Non-Conductive: Safe for use around sensitive electronic equipment. Clean Agent: Leaves no residue—ideal for data centers, server rooms, museums, and archives. Human-Safe: Designed to maintain oxygen levels that allow safe evacuation. How It Works: The system is activated either automatically via smoke or heat detection or manually. Once triggered, the inert gas is released into the protected area, reducing the oxygen concentration typically to around 12–15%, which is too low to sustain fire but still breathable for humans for short periods.
