1Alert Stix are easy to use fire extinguishing stickers that comprise of special pigments consisting of polymer shells which are applied using microencapsulation technology to insert fire extinguishing agent in the form liquid, gas, or solids into micro-capsules (10-350 µM). The shell of the micro-capsules burst at 120 °C thereby releasing the extinguishing agent (FK-5-1-12) to put out the fire at its incipient stage or delay the propagation of the fire.
